About Fixorise

Craft, care and accountability

We started Fixorise because good furniture deserves better than the landfill, and people deserve a repair service that explains, quotes and delivers properly.

Our story

A workshop built around one simple idea: repair beats replace

Fixorise brings together furniture repairers, polishers and upholsterers who were tired of seeing beautiful pieces discarded over problems that can be solved. A loose joint, a scorched tabletop or a sagging seat is rarely the end of a piece of furniture. It is usually the start of a careful repair.

We built our service around the things customers told us they were missing: a proper inspection, a written estimate before work begins, realistic timelines and honest advice when a repair is not worth the money. Behind that is a workshop that takes its time with glue, timber, stain and fabric, because every shortcut shows up later.

Today we look after dining sets, wardrobes, beds, sofas, office chairs, cabinets, doors and family heirlooms. Some jobs take an afternoon. Others take weeks. The standard is the same.

What drives us

Mission, vision and the values behind every repair

Our mission

To extend the useful life of furniture through honest diagnosis, skilled repair and finishes that are built to be used every day, not only admired.

Our vision

A future where repairing a favourite chair or table is as normal and as easy as servicing a car, and where fewer good pieces end up as waste.

Our promise

Clear estimates, no hidden charges, regular updates and a written warranty on the work we do. If something is not right, we come back and fix it.

How we work

Six principles our technicians follow on every job

01

Diagnose before we quote

We look at the cause, not only the symptom. A wobble may be a loose joint, a split tenon or a twisted leg, and each needs a different repair.

02

Structure before surface

There is no point polishing a chair that still moves. Joints, frames and supports are made solid before any finishing begins.

03

Use the right material

Different glues, fillers, stains and finishes suit different woods and uses. We choose for longevity, not convenience.

04

Respect drying time

Finishes are built in thin coats and allowed to cure properly. Rushing this stage is the most common reason refinishing fails.

05

Keep the customer informed

You receive photo updates at key stages and we call if we find anything that changes the scope or price.

06

Check, then check again

Every piece is inspected in daylight before delivery: joints, hardware, finish evenness, stitching and cleanliness.

Inside the workshop

Specialists, not generalists

Our team is organised by craft. Repairers handle frames, joints and timber replacement. Finishers handle stripping, colour and polishing. Upholsterers handle foam, springs, webbing and covers. Work moves between benches in a clear sequence so each specialist does what they do best.
