Skilled craftsman restoring the carved details of a wooden furniture piece

Welcome to Fixorise

The furniture you love does not need replacing. It needs the right hands.

Most furniture is thrown away for reasons that can be fixed in a day or two: a wobbling leg, a drawer that sticks, a cloudy finish or a seat that has lost its shape. We repair the structure first, then restore the surface and fabric, so the piece looks right and works properly for years.

Solid wood, veneer, laminate, cane, leather and fabric all get their own techniques, materials and drying times. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is hidden under a thick coat of paint.

Free damage assessment

Share photos or book a visit. We explain what is wrong, what it will take and what it will cost before any work begins.

Talk to a technician

Not sure what your piece needs? Call and describe the problem. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing and what it involves.

Workmanship warranty

Structural repairs and new finishes are covered by a written warranty, so you know exactly what we stand behind.

01

Structural repair

Re-gluing and re-dowelling joints, rebuilding broken rails, replacing missing mouldings and fixing hinges, runners and castors.

02

Surface refinishing

Removing scratches, heat rings and water marks, then rebuilding the finish in French polish, lacquer, PU, oil or wax.

03

Fabric & leather renewal

New foam, webbing, springs and covers for sofas, dining chairs, headboards and office seating in fabrics you choose.

What we do

Careful restoration that respects how a piece was made

A good repair should be almost invisible. We match timber species, grain direction and colour, use the right adhesive for each joint and rebuild finishes in thin, even layers. The result feels original rather than patched.

Before & after

Restoration you can see from across the room

Weathered, broken and worn-out furniture is where we do our best work. Most pieces need a combination of structural repair, stripping, colour work and a new protective finish.

Before

Split rails, loose joints and a finish destroyed by sun and moisture.

After

Rebuilt frame, matched colour and a warm hand-rubbed protective finish.

Questions & answers

Things people ask before booking

Straight answers to the questions people ask us most before booking. If yours is not here, call or message us and a technician will help.

In most cases, yes. Well-made solid wood and good-quality frames are usually stronger than replacement furniture at the same price. We will tell you honestly when a repair is not worth the cost.

We mix stains and toners by eye and test them on hidden areas first, so the repaired part blends with the rest of the piece and with other furniture in the same room.

Minor touch-ups, scratch repairs and some polishing can be done on site. Structural repairs, full refinishing and upholstery are done in the workshop where conditions are controlled.

Small repairs often take two to four days. Full refinishing and reupholstery usually take one to two weeks, depending on drying times and fabric availability.

Yes. Structural repairs and new finishes come with a written workmanship warranty. Terms are explained in your estimate and on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page.
